Hooker Boats – Hooker Boats NQ Pty Ltd Warranty

Hooker Boats Pty Ltd warrants to the first retail purchaser during the periods herein that it will, subject to the terms and conditions in the Hooker Boats Pty Ltd warranty, repair at its option, defects caused by faulty workmanship or materials under normal use and service during the first (12) months on parts and labour and (10) years structural only as to hull for recreational boats and (12) months for parts and labour and (12) months for structural for commercial boats. Conditions apply.

The warranty applies providing that:

1. The warranty will become effective upon receipt by Hooker Boats within one month of the original retail sale, of the duly completed Hooker Boats warranty copy.
2. The boat must be used in accordance with the boat capacity plate attached to the boat.
3. The boat design has not been altered.
4. Neglect, accident, improper use or competitive purposes have not contributed to the cause.
5. The warranty does not cover any consequential expense beyond the warranty repair of the boat itself.
6. Hooker Boats Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any consequential loss of any kind arising out of the supply or operation of the boats.
7. Any work agreed to be repaired by Hooker Boats Pty Ltd, will be done ex factory and freighting cost to and from will be the purchaser’s responsibility unless other arrangements are made with a repairer in the owner’s location.
8. The warranty does not cover normal items that are subject to wear and tear.
9. The boat has been properly maintained and cared for
10. The boat has legible serial number.
11. The trailer is of correct design and has not contributed to any defect.
12. Accessories, engines, trailers, electrical devices, parts and any other fittings fitted by the Hooker Boats authorised dealer who made the original sale or the purchaser and any effect they may have on the products supplied by Hooker Boats, are the responsibility of the dealer and purchaser and are specifically not covered by this warranty.
13. This warranty specifically does not cover pumps (which if run dry or allowed to become clogged may burn out), light globes, trailer bearings, tyres, batteries, fuses and normal wear and tear.
14. All parts fitted by Hooker Boats to boats that have a separate manufacturer’s written warranty are covered by that manufacturer’s warranty and not covered by this warranty.
15. Accidental damage to any part or parts of the boat and boat package are specifically not covered by this warranty. In addition, windscreens are not warranted for scratching, chips, cracks, breakage or leakage.
16. Upholstery damage caused by UV (sun damage), cuts, abrasions or tears are not covered by this warranty.
17. Ethanol fuels are prohibited from being used in Hooker Boats fuel tanks. All fuel tank warranties will be void if Ethanol fuel is used. The claim under this warranty must be made in writing, setting out full details of the problem encountered, addressed to Hooker Boats. This warranty only applies where Hooker Boats products have been properly maintained to a high standard by the purchaser and treated as per the maintenance schedule. If , in Hooker Boats opinion the boat has been abused, used improperly, neglected or used in an extremely rough manner or used in strong wind warning conditions, then the warranty may be void.
