- Hooker Boats On Water Day
Hooker on water day will be held in Cairns at the Yorkey's Knob Marina. August 30 and 31. There will be a range of Hooker boat models available for demo. Contact Boat Scene, 07 4033 8800 to book your spot.
- Hooker's New Factory
Hooker Boats have upsized and relocated their factory due to increasing demand for their superb
products. Their new facility is located at 31 Muir St., Bungalow, in Cairns, Ph: (07) 4041 7171,
and has increased their factory floor area from 520 to 1000 square metres.
- Fusion Stereos
| Fusion stereos, Hooker Boats has installed the new Fusion I-pod dock stereo with 4x 200 watt speakers, the first in Queensland. This product has just been released by the company Fusion and is a world first with the I-pod internal docking system in boating. The stereo is fully water proof and your I-pod unit actually sits inside the waterproof drawer inside the stereo unit. |

- Hooker Boats celebrates 10 Years
1998 - 2008
With a single second hand mould purchased with one man building one boat a month, and ten years later with five in house built moulds and eleven models, producing sixty to seventy boats a year, Hooker Boats celebrates ten years of business. With a team of professional boat builders, Hooker Boats marches in to the next ten years with the same determination to produce high quality boats and set their construction standards at second to none.
Thankyou to all Hooker Boats customers, some whom have bought 20 commercial boats over the years. Thankyou to the retailers being Leo's marine, TI Marine, Boat Scene and Martin Box Marine and all the personnel affiliated with Hooker Boats over the last Ten Years.

- Airlie Beach Boat Show 7-8 June
Hooker Boats will have on display at the Airlie show, a 8mtr Pro Fisherman, 6.7mtr Pro Fisherman and a 6mtr Pro Fisherman.
- Leo's Marine Change of Ownership and Name
Leo's Marine, Townsville, Queensland, has changed ownership and name. Now known as Townsville Marine. Congratulations to Peter Knack and Emmanuel Theodosiou.

- Hooker Boats and the first D4-300 Volvo in Australia:
Hooker Boats has just completed a 8m WRC model fitted with a Volvo D4-300DP supercharged and turbocharger diesel inboard. This engine is the first D4-300 installed in a boat with in Australia and performed above expectations reaching 40knots and handling like a ski boat. The Hooker 8mtr with the diesel inboard is a serious offshore fishing rig. The trailable 8mtr as an alternative to the large game boats is here in the Hooker 8mtr.

8mtr WRC diesel inboard - 21/05/2007 -
On the water for the first time, the new 8mtr WRC (walk around cabin) fitted with a Yanmar 260hp Turbo Diesel performed as expected with fantastic fuel economy, great cruising speed and a top speed of 35knots at 4000rpm. Handling performance was smooth and the ride in 15knot winds was dry.
Cruise speed at 3000rpm will use 20 liters per hour.

Hooker has added a new hardtop to suit the WRC models and is supported with a stainless steel frame and adjustable rod holders.
- New release 8mtr WRC (walk around cabin) with a Yanmar BY260 hp turbo diesel inboard coupled with a Mercruiser sterndrive available in June 2007. The 8mtr WRC will come as a inboard or a outboard version.
